40th BMA Corporate Leadership and Academic Awards

The BMA Annual Awards Function was held on 15^th March, 2019 at Yashwantrao Chavan Prathisthan, Nariman Point. Around 200 members and guests attended this event. The prestigious ceremony recognised and honoured eminent individuals from the Indian Corporates, Outstanding Management Educational Institutes, faculties and students with BMA Leadership Awards.

Padma Vibhushan Dr. R. A. Mashelkar, President, Global Research Alliance, Former Director General, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and Chairman, BMA External Awards Committee was the Chief Guest who presented the awards to the recipients.

Dr. N. M. Kondap, Director General, DSIMS and Former V.C. NMIMS, Dr. Murtaza Khorakiwala, President BMA also presented the awards. An address on Management Education Changing Scenario was given by Chairman of the Academia Awards Committee, Dr. N. M. Kondap, Director General DSIMS and Former V.C. NMIMS.

Dr. Murtaza Khorakiwala, President, BMA and Managing Director, Wockhardt Limited gave an insight on BMA, its past glory and its upcoming events. He also spoke about rapid transformational change and also about BMA Flagship Initiatives. 

Padma Vibhushan Dr. R. A. Mashelkar, President, Global Research Alliance, Former Director General, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and Chairman spoke on Persistence and Hardwork and he shared 5 lessons of his life. He also discussed on how one must not do Leap Frogging but must always do Pole Vaulting.

Mr. D. Ravi Shankar, Founder Director, Brickwork Ratings, Knowledge Partner, BMA, gave an insight on the Indian Credit Outlook 2020. He spoke on Expectations on Future India Vs. Current Corporate India and Expectations on India how India will consume in 2030 based on 10 mega trends.

The awards ceremony was followed by Panel Discussion with Corporate Awardees on the topic ‘Next Decade Leadership and Innovation’. The Chair of the Panel was Ms. Mini Menon, Co-Founder & Editor of Live History India. The Panel Members consisted of
