About the Speaker:
Dr. Shravan Subramanyam is the President & CEO, GE Healthcare, India & South Asia and Managing Director, Wipro GE Healthcare, based in Bangalore, India. Shravan has over 15 years of corporate & healthcare experience. A physician, with a passion for diagnostics, he is particularly keen on promoting ‘precision medicine’ and the use of technology in healthcare.
His career spans leadership roles in global pharma & medical device organizations, including Roche (India) and Novartis (USA, Hong Kong), amongst others. At GE Healthcare, Shravan manages a P&L of $800M with a 4500+ member workforce spanning 6 countries. He is responsible for GE Healthcare’s Commercial Operations in India & South Asia and acts as the site leader for GEHC’s India Engineering Design and R&D Center, 3 Manufacturing sites and supply chain operations as the MD of GE’s joint ventures with Wipro and Bharat Electronics.
In addition to a degree in medicine from Madras Medical College, Dr. Subramanyam also holds a Masters’ degree in Health Administration from Cornell University, where he previously served on the alumni board. Shravan is also an active voice at various industry bodies such as CII & NATHEALTH, and recently stepped down as the President of the Swiss Indo Chamber of Commerce (India). He was named in Economic Times’ 40 Under Forty List of “India’s Hottest Business Leaders 2018”
