Ramesh Daswani, a graduate from Mumbai University with Masters in Marketing Management, is a highly committed, result-oriented professional and entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience in running a profit center, managing teams, setting goals and achieving organizational agenda of profits and beyond.
Mr Daswani is a first generation entrepreneur with more than 4 decades of robust experience. He started in the business of flooring and interiors. His corporation was called COLABA CARPET INDUTRIES, which dealt in Rugs and Commercial carpeting.
He was the director of New Initiatives with the Somaiya Group since 2013. In the year 2016, he headed the 500-bed charitable hospital of the Somaiya Group as the CEO.
Today, As the CEO of Light of Life Trust, a position that he has held since 2018, he is steadily achieving the objectives of the initiative of providing education to the underprivileged sections of our society. This outreach has covered education for approximately 5000 children in rural areas. The initiative has also managed to uplift and provide a meaningful contribution to sectors concerning women empowerment, livelihood, healthcare and more.
